Landscape Maintenance Trainee
Join the growing team at Austspray Environmental, a leading provider of vegetation management and environmental services across the Sunshine Coast, QLD. We work in partnership with council and private clients to deliver sustainable solutions for weed control and landscape maintenance.
We are seeking several enthusiastic and motivated people to embark on a traineeship within the landscape maintenance industry. Successful candidates will work under supervision and will learn about hands-on landscape maintenance, mulching, planting techniques, weed control techniques including safe use of appropriate chemicals, develop weed ID skills and utilise small power tools. Our work is carried out in council parks, gardens, roadsides and centre medians. These skills and knowledge will be gained through full time practical fieldwork in addition to some theory sessions and study at home. As part of this traineeship, successful trainees have the opportunity to obtain their Cert III Parks & Gardens.
The successful applicant must possess a passion for the outdoors and demonstrate:

- A willingness to undertake hands on field based work on a full time basis;
- Initiative and flexibility;
- An ability to work within hard working teams;
- A high level of physical fitness and be prepared to undertake drug and alcohol testing;
- White card/Safety Construction Card or ability to obtain;
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport (required to get to our base for early starts).
- Open licence C class is required.
