Cabinet Making Apprentice
Nu-Space Joinery specialises in high quality custom joinery and is currently seeking an Apprentice Cabinet Maker/Joiner at our workshop in Glendenning as well as installing out on site.
The successful candidate will be willing to work in our team creating high end joinery ready to install, learning and developing their skills. In the role, you will work closely with the Manufacturing team, learning to create all internal and external joinery pieces, including planning, cutting, assembling, preparing jobs. You will learn to read and interpret plans, both architectural and CAD drawings, prepare materials, components and hardware, cut and build joinery, cladding and finishes as well as constantly checking for excellent quality control. You will also have the opportunity to develop you installing skills while working on site.
Essential knowledge skill and experience
- Construction white card
- Willingness to take directions and apply these in the workplace
- Trouble shoot and identify errors or adjustments required to custom joinery
- High attention to detail
- Good time management to maintain production timelines
Desirable knowledge skill and experience
- Knowledge of Cabinet Making process
- Previous experience or training in joinery and construction
- Drivers licence preferred
- Forklift licence preferred
