About the role
We’re seeking a motivated and hands-on Glazing Apprentice / Aluminium Fabricator to join our Technical Services Group (TSG).
This apprenticeship offers a rare opportunity to learn fabrication, product testing, tooling, and technical support from highly skilled industry professionals.
You’ll assist in manufacturing prototype models of new and existing Capral & Edge products, support regulatory and performance testing, and contribute to continuous product improvement.
This position is perfect for someone who wants to build a long-term technical trade career and enjoys practical, problem-solving work.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting with fabrication of prototype models for testing and evaluation
- Maintaining fabrication tools, equipment and workspaces
- Providing technical support and participating in training sessions, workshops and webinars
- Working alongside engineers, product specialists and technical services
- Developing a strong safety mindset and understanding risk minimisation
- Completing apprenticeship modules and assigned projects within required timeframes

What We’re Looking For
- A willing learner with strong attention to detail
- Someone practical, curious and committed to developing hands-on skills
- Ability to read or willingness to learn to read technical drawings
- Problem-solving ability and pride in producing high-quality work
- Strong communication skills
- Interest in fabrication, engineering or technical trades
- Ability to meet all safety requirements
- Prepared to undertake and pass a pre-employment medical inclusive of drug and alcohol testing
Desirable
- Any exposure to aluminium, windows/doors, manufacturing or technical drawings
