Vanilla Blue Catering is excited to offer four full time positions in our large, modern kitchen:

This is a rare opportunity to build your skills without the typical pressure-cooker hours of restaurant kitchens
Apprentice chef main duties include but not limited to:
- Assist the chefs with the preparation and cooking, cold larder, hot dishes, and pastry products
- Train and learn standard procedures, techniques, and duties involved in food preparation
- Work under the supervision and guidance of the Head Chefs
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment, including mixers, pastry sheeters, ovens, and stoves
- Serve and present dishes as required
- Assist in other areas of food preparation, storage, and kitchen operations as needed
The ideal apprentice will:
- Have a genuine passion for food
- Be punctual, reliable, and eager to learn
- Be ready to learn all aspects of the trade, step by step
- Work cleanly, professionally and follow safe food practices
- Be well-presented and able to follow direction
- Thrive in a fast-paced but supportive team environment
No professional experience is required — just enthusiasm and commitment.
Currently indentured apprentices are also welcome to apply
You must be an Australian Citizen, or a Permanent Resident to be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship.
