George’s Gourmet Meats in Cleveland is looking for a motivated and reliable Apprentice Butcher to join our award-winning team. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn traditional and modern butchery skills from experienced professionals in a supportive, friendly environment. Junior, school-based and adults are all encouraged to apply.
About the Role
As an Apprentice Butcher, you will:
- Learn all aspects of the butchery trade, including breaking down carcasses, portioning, trimming, and value-adding
- Assist with preparation of gourmet products
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Work as part of a passionate, hardworking team (and have some fun along the way!)
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn
- Punctual, trustworthy, and able to follow instructions
- Passionate about food and quality craftsmanship
- Physically capable of hands-on work
- Able to work some weekends as required
No experience is necessary — just the right attitude and a genuine interest in the trade.
