Renew Maintenance Pty Ltd is a strata, commercial and residential maintenance company servicing public and private clients predominantly in the south Sydney region, southern highlands, Canberra and also cover the Illawarra. We are offering an apprenticeship in Parks & Gardens Cert III which will give you the qualification of a Horticulturist. The apprenticeship is 3-4 years. The TAFE studies are in a block system meaning 3-4 day blocks certain months. We do all aspects of gardening work including pruning, weed control, hedging & shaping, fertilising, plant selection, planting, soil/compost addition, mulching, irrigation, lawn care and installation etc.

Qualifications & experience

• We are seeking expressions of interest from horticulture apprentices
• No qualifications required but a general interest in the industry is ideal, and some basic knowledge of mowing lawns preferred
• Several positions available for the right candidates.
• Preferred Current manual driver’s license and own vehicle to get to warehouse (no license be not far off from obtaining and have another means to be able to get to location)

Tasks & responsibilities

• All aspects of horticulture (garden maintenance) and some landscaping work
• Opportunity to work with well-respected clients
• The successful applicant/s will be able to work in a physical environment, have the right attitude and willingness to learn in a hardworking and supportive team.
• Well-presented and able to communicate in a professional manner.
• Comfortable working with tools, including working on ladders

• Able to work unsupervised
• Has great attention to detail
