Apprentice Light Vehicle Mechanic

Tree Care Machinery are currently looking for a 4th Year Apprentice Light Vehicle Mechanic looking to work on plant equipment or a 4th Year Apprentice transitioning into fulling qualified looking to work on plant equipment.

Duties will involve:  

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of earthmoving machinery and woodchippers, identifying any mechanical or safety issues that could lead to breakdown or failure.
• Perform breakdown repairs and diagnostics, and clearly communicate parts required, labour estimates, and timelines to assist with accurate quoting.
• Carry and lift up to 25kg—safe lifting procedures and equipment will be provided where necessary.
• Complete pre-delivery inspections and setup of new machinery, including earthmoving and Bandit woodchippers.

The successful candidate will:  

• Be a confident communicator.
• Motivated with a genuine interest in the plant equipment industry.
• Be trustworthy and reliable.
• Be safety conscious. 

Preferred but not essential: 

• Have manual driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
