Nick Favot Painting are currently looking for an apprentice painter to join our team, starting January 2026.

If you have an eye for detail and design, and like a job that offers visual satisfaction, then a painting apprenticeship may be a good fit for you. As an apprentice you'll combine on the job training with formal training at TAFE to help set you up for long-term success.

Our team of skilled, trade-qualified professionals specialise in high-end finishes, and we're ready to pass on that knowledge to the right candidate.

Duties will involve: 

  • Carry out measurements and calculations.
  • Read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Erect and maintain trestle and plank systems.
  • Handle painting and decorating materials.
  • Use painting and decorating tools and equipment.
  • Remove and replace doors and door and window components.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting.
  • Apply paint by brush and roller.
  • Apply texture coat paint finishes by brush, roller, and spray.
  • Epoxy Coatings

The successful candidate will:

  • Reliable and hard working.
  • Physically fit - able to kneel, lift, climb ladders, etc.
  • Motivated with a genuine interest in the industry.
  • Be trustworthy
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred but not essential:

  • Driver's licence and vehicle or reliable transport
