Pups4Fun is offering an exciting full-time Dog Grooming Traineeship, perfect for school leavers or anyone looking for a fresh start in the animal care industry. No experience is required — just a positive attitude and a love for dogs!
As part of the role, you’ll complete a Certificate III in Animal Care Services (Pet Grooming) through the Heiniger Academy, gaining nationally recognised qualifications while learning hands-on skills from Canberra’s leading grooming professionals.
About the Role
As a Dog Grooming Trainee, you’ll:
- Assist with bathing, drying, brushing, and basic grooming of dogs of all breeds and sizes
- Support senior groomers and learn professional grooming techniques
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the grooming salon
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to our clients
- Participate in team training and development opportunities
This is a full-time, paid position with structured learning and mentoring to set you up for long-term success in the dog industry. The traineeship is a 24mth commitment.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is enthusiastic, reliable, and coachable
- Has strong customer service and communication skills
- Is physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
- Loves working as part of a team and shows initiative
- Has a genuine passion for dogs and animal care
No prior grooming experience is required — we’ll provide full training and support.
