Apprentice Boilermaker – Kickstart Your Career with ABBA Engineering

Are you ready to build a hands-on career in the trades?

ABBA Engineering is looking for motivated and enthusiastic people to join our team as Boilermaker Apprentices in Kalgoorlie. This is your chance to earn while you learn, gain real-world skills, and work alongside experienced mentors who will guide you every step of the way.

Why Choose an Apprenticeship with ABBA?

At ABBA Engineering, you won’t just be “an apprentice” — you’ll be part of a supportive team working on projects that keep WA’s mining industry moving.

Here’s what we offer:

  • Learn from the best: Hands-on training with skilled boilermakers and tradespeople.
  • Earn while you learn: Get paid while completing your nationally recognised qualification.
  • Career growth: Start as an apprentice, become trade qualified, and open doors to long-term opportunities.
  • Local benefits: Residential incentives for Kalgoorlie-based team members.
  • Exciting projects: Work on real fabrication, welding, and mechanical projects.

As an Apprentice Boilermaker, you’ll:

  • Learn how to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures.
  • Work with a variety of tools, welding equipment, and machinery (under supervision).
  • Attend trade school and complete your assessments to gain your qualification.
  • Be part of a team where safety and teamwork come first.

No long list of requirements here — what matters most is your attitude and willingness to learn.

To get started, you’ll need:

  • A minimum Year 10 education.
  • A C Class driver’s licence (or currently working towards obtaining one)
  • Commitment to completing your apprenticeship.
  • A positive attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a team.

(Other tickets like forklift or working at heights are a bonus, but not essential — we’ll help you get them along the way!)

Ready to Get Started?

This is your chance to build a trade, gain real skills, and set yourself up for a rewarding career.

To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
