Carpentry Apprentice
Are you looking to start or continue your apprenticeship in carpentry? Our client in Townsville is offering a fantastic opportunity to join their busy Building Maintenance & Construction team.
Please note: This position is not with Building Industry Training. However, if you are successful, we will deliver your formal training as part of your apprenticeship.
About the Role:
You’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of tasks, including:
- General carpentry
- Decking, renovations, and small tiling repairs
- Basic patching and painting
- General property maintenance
- Playground construction and maintenance (equipment, forts, fencing, astro turf, garden beds, retaining walls, concreting, sheds)
- Reviewing compliance within client facilities
- Supporting the implementation of the Integrated Management System
- Delivering a variety of services as part of a “one-stop shop” for clients
What We’re Looking For:
- Apprentices at any stage (1st, 2nd, or 3rd year)
- White Card (Construction Safety)
- Manual driver’s licence and own vehicle
- Ability to tow trailers
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Problem-solving skills and initiative
- Comfortable using a smartphone for work tasks
