An exciting opportunity is now available for an Apprentice Light Vehicle Mechanic (Specialising in Automatic Transmissions) to kickstart their career and join our expanding team at Redland’s leading automatic transmission specialists Dean's Automatics at Capalaba!
We have an exciting opportunity for highly motivated apprentices who have the passion and drive to become skilled and specialist automotive technicians.
Working with qualified and skilled Automotive Technicians you will gain valuable hands-on experience, mentoring and support working in state of the art brand new facilities. This large site will allow you to learn a range of vehicles and gain a broad range of experience.

The successful candidate will have:
- A passion for the Automotive industry and the desire to become a specialised, highly skilled and professional technician.
- Strong self motivation and enthusiasm.
- An excellent work ethic and a “can do” Attitude.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to problem solve.
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to follow processes.
- Honesty, reliability and punctuality.
- The ability to work in a high paced team environment.
- Willingness to learn and a commitment to their studies.
- A Current C class manual Driver’s License or provisional License and a reliable vehicle.
What you’ll be doing:
- Diagnosing and repairing engines and transmissions.
- Assisting the highly skilled team with repairs, ordering parts, and customer support.
- Helping to maintain workshop tools, equipment and work areas.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Developing the skills and competencies required to complete your trade qualification and become a certified Automotive technician.
On top of vehicle and service maintenance such as diagnosis and repairs, the successful applicant will develop additional skills specialising in Automatic Transmission to help them throughout their career
