1st Year Painter & Decorator Apprenticeship

We’re looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as a 1st Year Apprentice Painter and Decorator. This is your opportunity to learn a skilled trade, earn while you learn, and build a future in a high-demand industry.

Location: Various sites across Queensland

Employment Type: Full-time Apprenticeship

About the Role

As a 1st Year Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced tradespeople to learn the art and science of painting and decorating. You’ll gain practical experience on residential, commercial, and industrial projects while completing your Certificate III in Painting and Decorating.

Requirements

To be considered, you must:

  • Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have full working rights
  • Be willing to commit to a 3–4 year apprenticeship program
  • Hold a current driver’s licence (minimum p1)
  • Have reliable vehicle to travel job sites
  • Be punctual, dependable, and eager to learn

Pre-requisites

While no formal experience is required, the following will be highly regarded:

  • Completion of Year 10 or higher
  • White Card (Construction Induction Card) – or willingness to obtain
  • The ability to work at heights
  • Any prior work experience in construction or painting
  • Basic understanding of tools and materials
