The Opportunity - Immediate Start

We're looking for a motivated school leaver to start an apprenticeship as a butcher. This is a real trade with great job security and career opportunities. No experience needed– if you're willing to work hard and learn, we'll teach you everything!

What You'll Learn

Working alongside our experienced butchers, you'll be trained in:

  • Traditional butchering techniques and breaking down whole carcasses
  • Preparing different cuts of beef, lamb, pork, and chicken
  • Making sausages, marinades, and specialty products in-house
  • Serving customers and sharing product knowledge
  • Food safety and using professional equipment
  • Working as part of a team in a busy retail environment

What We're Looking For

  • School leavers welcome
  • Keen to learn a hands-on trade (not stuck behind a desk!)
  • Reliable, hardworking, and a team player
  • Comfortable with physical work – standing, lifting, and staying active
  • Good attitude and willing to take direction
  • Interest in food and working with customers

What You Get

  • Get paid while you learn– wages as per Meat Industry Award
  • Structured apprenticeship program with professional training support (Axial Training)
  • Learn from qualified butchers with years of experience
  • Work across 5 different locations on the Gold Coast and Tweed
  • Supportive, family-owned business that invests in your development
  • Real career progression – become a qualified tradesperson

This is your chance to start a career, not just get a job. If you're ready to learn a skill that will set you up for life, we want to hear from you!
