Apprentice Sports Turf Management

Salary: $43,024.80 – $55,816.80 p/a + super
Position: Temporary full-time (up to 4 years)
Hours: 38 hours per week / 9-day fortnight
Traineeship: Undertake sports field maintenance while studying for a trade qualification in Sports Turf Management

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Sports Turf Management to join our team and start a rewarding career.

Reporting to the Supervisor Sports fields & Golf Courses, your duties will include:

  • Assisting in the maintenance and care of sports turf, including mowing, fertilising, aeration, and pest control

  • Supporting preparation of pitches and grounds for matches, events, and training sessions

  • Monitoring turf health and reporting any issues with soil, grass, or drainage systems

  • Collaborating with a skilled team to ensure high standards of turf quality

  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in turf management

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Year 10 Record of School Achievement or Higher School Certificate

  • Commitment to complete a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management

  • Current Class C driver’s licence

  • Willingness to undertake WHS Construction Induction Certificate (White Card) training

  • Willingness to undertake Chemical AQF 3 training
