Stone Mason Apprenticeship
About Us:
J & R Fletcher Monumentals is a small, family-owned business that has proudly served Townsville, Ingham, Charters Towers, and surrounding areas for over 40 years. We specialise in the manufacturing and installation of headstones, plaques, and monuments.
We are currently looking for a motivated and reliable first-year apprentice to join our team, with the opportunity for full-time employment upon successful completion of your apprenticeship.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with the manufacture and installation of headstones, plaques, and monuments
- Work both in our workshop and on-site at cemeteries
- Use hand and power tools to shape and finish stone
- Learn from experienced stonemasons and develop practical skills in a rewarding trade
What We’re Looking For:
Experience is not required – we’re happy to train the right person!
However, the following attributes arepreferred:
- Driver’s licence or reliable transport
- White Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of hand tools
- Good attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and a genuine interest in building skills in building and construction industry.
- Willingness to learn and work in a small, friendly, and hardworking team
