An important update to claiming employer wage subsidies

19 July, 2023

Business owners who are eligible to claim the Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements (BAC) wage subsidy have been urged to lodge their wage subsidy claims in the Apprenticeships Data Management System (ADMS).

BAC claim applications for wages paid between 1 April 2023 and 30 June 2023 can now be submitted via ADMS.

The deadline to lodge all BAC claim applications in ADMS is 31 December 2023. Payments cannot be processed after this date for claim periods from 1 January 2022 to 30 June 2023 inclusive.

Businesses with an existing ADMS account can lodge claims now. Otherwise, to set up an account, the following steps need to be taken:

1. Create a digital identity using myGovID (if business owners don’t already have one)

2. Link your myGovID to a business using Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM)

3. Register for an account on the ADMS portal (instructions to do so are here

Any business owners with more than one business which employs an Australian Apprentice must create an ADMS account for each of those businesses.
