On Friday 13 May 2016, five staff members from MEGT’s Hobart office in Tasmania (pictured above) will be participating in Whitelion’s biggest fundraising event to assist Whitelion to continue their work with disconnected youth.
The team will be locked up in the Richmond Gaol until a minimum bail of $5000 is achieved, with all funds going towards Whitelion’s ongoing youth programs.
Whitelion is a a non-profit organisation dedicated to assisting disadvantaged young people.
Many of the people Whitelion support end up in out-of-home care or the youth justice system. Through this project, and others, they are instead being given the best chance to “break the cycle” through positive role modelling, mentoring and employment, and the opportunity to build positive lives for themselves.
Good luck to our MEGT Moonah staff and Whitelion! To read more about the event and to make a donation, click here.
