MEGT collaborates on international “train-the-trainer” program

  • Published on Wednesday, January 27, 2016

MEGT Institute/ABILITY English has signed an agreement with a Vietnamese university to collaborate on education and training initiatives.

The partnership will include a hands-on “train-the-trainer” English language training program, customised by ABILITY English, and due for implementation in Vietnam at the end of February 2016.

The program will focus on a range of English language training areas such as assessment techniques and validation, quality assurance, qualification recognition and the evaluation of English proficiency testing.

The “train-the-trainer” program is part of the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training’s National Foreign Language 2020 Project, which requires teachers to undergo training in updating and improving their English language and teaching skills.

Future potential areas of collaboration could include the creation of a regulated Vietnamese English language teacher qualifications framework, curriculum consultancies, study tours and articulation pathway programs.

ABILITY English and MEGT Institute are currently exploring the potential for similar endeavours in other Southeast Asian countries.
