Sam Wilson was working as a qualified electrician when he decided he needed a change. He set out to find a job where he could use his creative side and engage in more customer contact.
Thanks to a recently announced apprenticeship qualification, he found the perfect opportunity at Manhor Grooming Lounge in Melbourne.
Sam is now undertaking a Certificate III in Barbering – a new three-year apprenticeship just released by the Australian Government.
While he completes his studies, he will be working as a men’s barber across Manhor’s two locations in Windsor and Melbourne CBD.
Employer Robert Gauci is thrilled to give his new apprentice the on-the-job experience he needs.
Established as the first men’s grooming salon in 2009, Manhor will allow Sam to develop his skills in all aspects of barbering and shaving, as well as face and body treatments.
We wish Sam all the best for his new career!
