SA Skill Shortage Solutions grants now available

The South Australian Government has announced that applications are now open for the next round of Skill Shortage Solutions grants. 

The grants are an investment in South Australia’s Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector to skill South Australia’s workforce for today and the future.

They support collaboratively developed and delivered solutions to address current and future skill shortages at industry and/or regional levels.

Grants will focus on the following priority areas:

  • Priority trade solutions to address occupational shortages in brick and block, concreting, commercial cookery and saw technology
  • Women in Trades training solutions to support, attract, retain and upskill women in trade occupations
  • Strategic skills solutions to address skill shortages in trade and technician occupations

Examples of projects the grants can be used for include:

  • Professionally-led workforce planning and development
  • Implementing pre-employment programs aligned to priority occupations or sectors
  • Developing and trialling new skills and training products, pathways or delivery models

Eligible organisations are invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) by Friday 29 March 2024.
