Fitter and Turner Apprentice

Embark on a fulfilling career pathway as a Die Setter - Mechanical Engineer Apprenticeship with our esteemed team. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow while effectively and efficiently setting up, operating and troubleshooting injection moulding machines.

This role is tailored for individuals eager to develop practical skills in die setting and gain hands-on experience in the manufacturing and production industry. You'll be guided by experienced professionals, fostering your growth and expertise in a supportive environment.

Duties will involve:

  • Changeover, set up and operate injection moulding machines
  • Trouble shoot and fault find machine and product quality issues
  • Operation of robotic and automated plant equipment
  • Perform quality inspection checks as per procedures, ensuring the required quality standards are achieved.
  • Adhere to safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Comply with food safety and quality management systems, procedures, and policies.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement for product quality and efficiency

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Passion for engineering and a willingness to learn
  • Team orientated and excellent work ethic
  • Ability to learn new systems and procedures.
  • Computer Literacy - basic MS Office
  • Australian Citizenship
