About the roles

  • Earn while you learn - gain your Certificate III in Individual Support and be paid for on and off the job training.
  • Part-time Traineeship (min. of 15 hours per week up to max of 37 hours - this is dependent on rostering and your availability).
  • Paying $20.54 per hour (base rate).
  • Up to $2,500 paid as part of the Apprentice Support Payment paid over 2 years, eligibility criteria must be met.
  • Duties include supporting the elder to live the life they choose allowing them to exercise choice and independence; Contribute to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of the elder, through assessment and observation; Assist the elder/ with their personal care and hygiene needs whilst encouraging their independence.

Eligibility & Essential Criteria

To be considered for an ACA traineeship you should:

  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or a permanent Australian resident.
  • Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination x2 and Booster.
  • Proof of Influenza Vaccination.
  • Be willing to undertake formal training in Certificate III in Individual Support .
  • National Police Check, DHS Clearance or willingness to obtain.
  • If you already hold completed a Certificate III in Aged or Disability, you will not be eligible for the role.

To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
