Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprentice

John Bollard Truck Repairs are currently looking for an Apprentice Heavy Diesel Mechanic. 

The successful candidate will be working alongside qualified diesel mechanics who will guide you through your apprenticeship. 

Duties will involve:  

• Assist the experienced diesel mechanics in inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty vehicles including trucks and other heavy machinery.  
• Follow established procedures for maintenance, repairs, and replacements of various vehicle components. 
• Computer diagnostics. 
• Maintenance of the workshop and garage. 

The successful candidate will:  

• Motivated with a genuine interest in the diesel mechanic industry. 
• Have a basic knowledge of vehicle systems and components. 
• Be trustworthy and reliable. 

Preferred but not essential: 

• Manual drivers’ licence and reliable vehicle.
