Engineering Apprentice (Metal Fabrication)

Douglas Sheetmetal & Engineering are currently looking for a Metal Fabrication Apprentice to join the team. 

Working with qualified and skilled engineers you will gain valuable hands-on experience, mentoring and support.  

Duties will involve:  

  • Performing engineering measurements. 
  • Apply welding principles. 
  • Use workshop machines for basic operations. 
  • Carry out mechanical cutting. 
  • Identifying ferrous and non-ferrous weldable grade materials. 

The successful candidate will:  

  • Be technically minded, and genuinely interested in engineering. 
  • Be able to undertake manual/physical work. 
  • Be trustworthy and reliable. 
  • Have a high level of attention to detail.
