Apprentice Gardener

Surrey Mowing is a garden maintenance business established in 2001 and based in Glen Iris.

We have a client base of 250 and 5 staff providing a range of gardening services and maintenance of small to large properties and schools.

We are currently looking for a candidate who is looking for an apprenticeship.

You will be responsible for a range of duties including:

• Maintenance of gardens, capable of caring for a diverse range of settings.
• Mix and spray or spread fertilisers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and trees, using hand sprayers or spreaders.
• The ability to operate motorised equipment, such as hedge trimmers, brush cutters, lawn mowers and whipper snippers.
• Planting, weeding, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, and shrubs, and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools.

To be successful for this role you will have:

• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Resident.
• A current driver's licence.
• Experience with gardening tools and equipment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, as the job requires contact with a vast range of clients.
