Looking for a flexible, low-risk recruitment solution?
Become a Host Employer
If you need an apprentice or trainee to meet short or long-term business needs, we have a flexible labour hire solution. Become a Host Employer with MEGT and we’ll take the work out of finding and managing high-quality apprentices and trainees.
What is a Host Employer?
As a Host Employer, all you need to do is provide on-the-job training and supervision for your new apprentice or trainee for the time they are required.
The best bit? If you choose to keep your apprentice or trainee on once they’re qualified, you won’t pay any transfer fees. If your new worker is no longer required, simply let us know and we will place them with another employer.
It’s as easy as:
Contact our expert recruitment team and let us know:
The details of the role you need to fill, the ideal person for the job and how long you need someone in the role.
Once we know what you need we’ll take care of:
Advertising, screening and interviewing to find the best candidate for the job.
We remain their legal employer
This means we’ll pay your new employee’s wages and entitlements, monitor their training and oversee their work performance and health and safety.
Then it’s over to you!
All you need to do is provide on-the-job training, supervision and development.
Circumstances changed? No worries!
Just give us a call and we’ll place your apprentice or trainee with another Host Employer.
Ensuring your new employee is work ready
After we’ve found the right match for your team, we will work with you to ensure your new apprentice or trainee is work ready before they enter your business.
We will also take care of relevant pre-employment checks when requested including hearing and eye tests, medical assessments, language, literacy and numeracy testing, and police and Working with Children Checks.
Our relationship doesn’t end when your new employee commences work – in fact, that’s just the beginning!
We offer the following services to support you and your new staff member throughout the placement:
- Induction – we will ensure your employees undertake a thorough induction, giving them the resources they need to hit the ground running.
- Work Health and Safety – we are committed to workplace health and safety and if required, we will assist you with WorkCover administration, injury management, Return to Work processes, and onsite job safety assessments. We also provide our apprentices and trainees with access to our free Employee Assistance Program, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Performance management – to achieve the best possible outcome for the worker and your business we will work with you to take care of any performance management or disciplinary actions that may arise.
- Mentoring and coaching – we’ll be here to support you and your apprentice or trainee to ensure they successfully complete their training.
We’re here to support you and your new worker, leaving you more time to get on with your business.
