As a plumber, your skills are in demand and your employment prospects are excellent – whether you work for yourself, as a contractor or for a business or company.
Plumbers implement practical water, mechanical, roofing and gas solutions in domestic and commercial settings – safely and efficiently.

You may enjoy being a plumber if you:
– like a variety of indoor and outdoor work
– like getting your hands dirty
– have good measurement and calculation skills
– are physically fit.

A plumber is a person who has successfully completed Certificate III in Plumbing and is
registered /licensed to perform plumbing work and to protect the public from contamination and disease.
A plumber is able to work on all types of plumbing installations both industrial and domestic, general plumbing, mechanical services, roofing, gas fitting and hydronic heating.

They work :
– on residential properties
– in very large firms and organisations
– for themselves or as subcontractors.
