Inverloch in Victoria is a popular destination for families and holidaymakers throughout the year, making things pretty busy around Christmas and holiday breaks for the Inlet Hotel on The Esplanade.
Being busy, however, is no reason for this hotel not to train their staff to the highest level, and Nathan Ahmed is a living example of their commitment to excellence.
Ahmed started at The Inlet Hotel in the July of 2011 under the guidance of Head Chef Michael, its talented second chef and kitchen crew. The training is paying off because Ahmed has won ‘First Year Apprentice of the Year’ at the Industry Awards for GIPPSTAFE.
Lisa Johnson, an Industry Employment Consultant with MEGT’s Australian Apprenticeships Centre has been following Nathan Ahmed’s development. ‘He is such a humble, quiet and likeable bloke,’ explains Johnson.
And what a brilliant place to work. The Inlet Hotel offers views of Anderson Inlet.
Apprenticeships and traineeships are an Australian government initiative.
