Gday Team,

We have an exciting new position available for a 3rd year apprentice carpenter to join the team.

Beowulf Builders is a GREEN LIVING accredited building company that specialises in Energy efficient, sustainable building practices.

Our main point of aim is Home Renovations and Extensions. We are experts in bringing old homes into the future by taking what is existing and working on them to ensure there’s a holistic vision of the home put forward; from solar passive design to thermal mass & making the home thermally comfortable all year down while reducing the energy is uses and helping our greater community’s valuable resources.

Currently all our projects are located in the Melbourne area yet we do travel around to best service the community’s needs.

About You:
Your Tasks will vary from all aspects of a construction site with an emphasis on understanding old skool carpentry & joinery while renovating and extending homes.
You will be operating a variety of hand and power tools, so you MUST be competent with these and willing to learn to further these hand skills.
No two days are the same & tasks will vary. You will be working on different projects, with different types of carpentry involved and working with different contractors on a daily basis.

You need to be good listener & able to follow instructions along with be aware of your surroundings and show initiative onsite.

We require the following criteria :

  • Strong work ethic and attitude
  • 3rd year apprentice in carpentry
  • Varied skill set within carpentry
  • Previous experience within renovations and extensions is a plus
  • Proficient with a variety of hand and power tools
  • Own reliable transport and tools
  • White Card
  • Own PPE
  • Physically fit
  • Non-smoker (preferred)
  • Follow instructions and have initiative
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Have a witty sense of humour

To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
