Cyber Security for Starters

Cyber security for starters - candidates

Cyber security is a growing industry in which thousands of roles will be created over the next few years. People at all stages of life can find fulfilling roles in this exciting sector, whether you’re returning to the workforce, seeking a career change or entering the workforce for the first time.

The Federal Government is encouraging a diverse cohort of candidates in the cyber security space. That’s why, in collaboration with our partners, Microsoft, AustCyber, Prodigy Learning, TAFE NSW (RTO 90003), and the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT), we are offering a free, online Cyber Security for Starters training course from 4-7 July 2022.

Cyber Security for Starters could be just the foot in the door you need to an exciting and rewarding IT career.

What are the details?

The training course comprises one core unit from the Certificate IV in Cyber Security (22334VIC). This unit, ‘Recognise the need for cyber security in an organisation’ (VU21990), provides an overview of the skills and tools needed to recognise and manage cyber threats to infrastructure, networks, machines and more.

The training course will be delivered virtually from TAFE NSW’s Lidcombe campus by Registered Training Organisations, TAFE NSW and CIT. It is funded by the Skills Partnership Innovation Fund (SPIF).
