MEGT Recruitment and Management Services - National Sales Manager

Objectives of the Division:

The Recruitment and Management Services Division:

 

  • assists in the development of a highly skilled nation by providing education and training to Australian Apprentices

  • sources employment opportunities for the benefit of the community and individuals, including disadvantaged groups

  • assists governments in the implementation of programs developed and funded by them

  • provides host employers with quality Australian Apprentices (inclusive of apprentices and trainees) to support their business

Objectives of the Position:

The objective of the National Sales Manager is to achieve consistent year on year growth within identified target markets across all service offerings. This is achieved through the development and effective implementation of sales strategies to attract both local accounts as well as large national organisations in which few of our competitors have the capability or footprint to compete.

 

The National Sales Manager will achieve:

  • large account acquisition within nominated target markets

  • large account development and growth within nominated target markets

  • client/host retention, development and repeat business

  • growth of RMS Group Training Services

  • growth of RMS Payroll Services

  • growth of RMS Recruitment Only Services.


 

Relationships:

  • reporting to the RMS General Manager

  • relationships with all relevant internal and external managers and stakeholders.

Employees directly supervised: All dedicated RMS business development officers and account managers

Agreed outcomes: as per Key Performance Indicators.


 

Selection Criteria:

  • demonstrated success in consultative and solutions-based sales  

  • demonstrated sales management experience

  • demonstrated strategy development and implementation experience

  • demonstrated success in strategic long sale cycle account acquisition

  • demonstrated success in personal sales  

  • experience in recruitment, Group Training (GTO), vocational education, apprentice and traineeship program management, or HR outsourcing would be highly regarded but not essential

  • current driver licence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

In the role, you will be required to:

  • Develop and implement strategies designed to profitably grow RMS revenue and gross income through the development and effective implementation of strategies addressing the 6 points listed under ‘Objectives of the position’.

  • Development and effective implementation of a centralised national tender regime based on previously identified and scheduled tender opportunities.

  • Lead a team of Business Development Officers to ensure they generate the activity and outcomes required to increase RMS revenue and gross profit.

  • Develop an appropriate staff profile by advising the RMS General Manager of the necessary staffing numbers and positions, through the preparation of a business case. Ensure all staff receive an appropriate induction into MEGT.

  • Ensure that MEGT meets all the performance indicators, standards and contractual requirements it is responsible to meet, and fully complies with all legislative and regulatory requirements in relation to the operation of the GTO by managing staff performance and monitoring performance against required indicators. Also, to immediately advise the National Recruitment & Management Services Manager of any significant variations in performance.

  • To achieve or exceed yearly performance targets as set by the RMS General Manager.

  • Work cooperatively and strategically across the MEGT Divisions to raise the profile of MEGT RMS and implement successful and beneficial linkages within the region to provide MEGT clients with a ‘one-stop-shop’ service wherever possible.

  • Ensure marketing databases for the promotion of MEGT activities are maintained and assist with the organisation and operation of various promotional events.

  • Continually undertake a comprehensive and strategic analysis of the marketplace in the region and demonstrate visionary, contemporary and timely responses to initiatives in order to best place MEGT Recruitment & Management Services to capitalise on any opportunity in the region.

  • Organise regular staff meetings to discuss current performance against KPIs, all relevant issues and opportunities for the region and to implement any new company policy and procedures

  • Identify RMS critical roles and staff development needs in line with MEGT Succession Planning Policy.

  • Identify Knowledge Management needs in line with MEGT Succession Planning Policy

  • Preparation of high quality tenders and submissions
