MEGT Recruitment and Management Services - National Account Manager


The Recruitment and Management Services Division:

  • assists in the development of a highly skilled nation by providing education and training to Australian Apprentices

  • sources employment opportunities for the benefit of the community and individuals, including disadvantaged groups

  • assists governments in the implementation of programs developed and funded by them

  • provides employers with complex employment solutions and quality Australian Apprentices (inclusive of apprentices and trainees) to support their business

The National Account Manager leads the company’s efforts to maintain and expand relationships with large, multi-location customers. Assigned a portfolio of new and existing clients, the National Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets and assigned strategic account objectives. The National Account Manager documents and implements an individual account plan for each client which represents the entire range of RMS services to assigned clients, while coordinating client expectations via nominated local RMS account teams. 



  • Reports to the RMS General Manager

  • Liaises with RMS General Manager on all financial and business strategies

  • Leads a team of nominated RMS service delivery staff who have dotted line reporting responsibility to the National Account Manager

  • Works co-operatively with the team of National, State and Branch Managers and maintains mutually productive relationships with the Administration Managers to support MEGT’s achievement of its objectives

  • Liaises closely with the National Sales Manager, Operations Division

  • Liaises closely with ANP and Education management as required

  • Strong knowledge of the VET sector 

  • Demonstrated experience in working as part of a team at a senior management level to lead and manage change

  • Ability to motivate Industry Employment Consultants (IEC) to follow through on leads generated, and report back outcomes

  • Able to address audiences of prospective employers to sell the Recruitment and Management Services concept

  • Effective networker with representative bodies of employers

  • Current driver licence

  • Self-motivation as well as a motivator

  • Ability to convert into placements of Australian Apprentices

  • Well-developed IT and written skills, including the ability to use PowerPoint, Excel and Word to help deliver MEGT RMS’ message confidently and professionally

  • Ensure that a strategic account plan is documented and approved by the General Manager for each nominated client. 

  • Ensure that all objectives and targets documented in each Strategic Account plan are reached or exceeded.

  • Ensure that National Account service delivery teams, individually and collectively, meet requirements set by the RMS Strategic Account plan.

  • Ensure the National Account Manager operate effectively and efficiently with other MEGT divisions and Corporate Sales Team

  • Revenue targets met

  • Margin targets met

  • Gross profit targets met

  • Compliance with all contractual requirements

All Managers and Supervisors will require further statements re their responsibilities for direct reports.



This position is required to undertake a National Police Check prior to commencing employment. A State/Territory Working with Children or Working with Vulnerable People Check may also be required by any applicable State/Territory legislation. The National Police Check must be renewed every two years as a minimum.
