MEGT Marketing - Digital Marketing Coordinator

Objectives of the Division

The objective of the Office of CEO is to provide high level, effective and efficient support to the CEO; and Corporate department; and Divisions.

The primary objective of the Marketing Department is to position MEGT as a preferred provider of employment, training, education and workforce skills.


 

Objectives of the Position:

  • Provide marketing support for MEGT’s digital presence including website, digital communications (email and SMS), search engine optimisation (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM)

  • Work closely with the marketing team to coordinate and measure marketing, advertising and promotional activity through our digital marketing channels

  • Promote our company and increase client engagement within our digital presence


 

Relationships:

Reporting to the Brand and Campaign Manager.

Selection Criteria

  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms

  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress / Drupal

  • Sound understanding of site optimisation including page layout optimisation and user experience

  • Sound understanding of SEO/SEM and relevant platforms, including (but not limited to) Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Facebook Ads and Google Search Console.

  • Expertise in measuring performance of digital marketing activity (experience with Google Data Studio an advantage)

  • Hands on experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Facebook Business Manager

  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders taking a functional or creative brief and suggesting a digital marketing solution and developing an outcome

  • Expertise in managing tasks, budgets and the ability to manage multiple deadlines


 

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:

  • 2+ years of digital marketing experience, with a deep understanding of digital advertising. Agency experience is not essential but will be looked upon favourably.

  • Experience using the following platforms:

    • Google Search Ads (essential)

    • Facebook/Instagram Ads (essential)

    • Google Display Ads (essential)

    • LinkedIn Ads (preferred)

    • Microsoft (Bing) Ads (preferred)

    • Spotify Ads (preferred)

  • Experience with analysing and measuring the success of digital platforms and tools, such as: 

    • Analytics, Reporting & Event tracking: Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Google Tag Manager (essential)

    • Social Media: Facebook Analytics + Pixel (essential)

    • SEO: Google Search Console, SEMRush (essential)

    • CMS: WordPress or Drupal (preferred)

    • Marketing automation platforms: Email/SMS providers like Campaign Monitor, MailChimp, Taguchi, etc. (preferred) 

    • HTML/CSS: Basic coding understanding (preferred)

    • Online ticketing platforms: ZenDesk, Jira etc. (preferred)

  • Demonstrated ability to work both proactively as part of a team and independently to meet deadlines

  • Attention to detail and committed to producing high-quality work

  • Self-motivated with proven ability to problem solve

  • Experience in managing stakeholder relationships and delivering expectations

  • Experience working with data and CRM integration an advantage

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing are an advantage but not essential


 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide marketing support for MEGT’s digital presence by assisting with the development and deployment of ongoing and new marketing campaigns across various digital channels – i.e. building and optimising digital campaigns, segmenting data, creating and sending emails within marketing automation platform.

  • Work within the website content management system (CMS), ensuring content is up-to-date and well presented, compatible with all devices and browsers, and meets SEO, brand and UX guidelines.

  • Measure and provide insights and reports on performance of MEGT website and all digital marketing campaigns, assessing against goals, as well as providing insights and strategies to improve performance ongoing

  • Maintain the integrity of MEGT databases

  • Educate current employees on digital marketing technology and best practice

  • Business intelligence for Senior Management, including the production of monthly marketing campaign reports and adhoc analysis as required

  • Work closely with external digital marketing agency to ensure budgets and online campaigns are well managed.

  • Establish and monitor benchmarks for measuring the impact of digital campaigns ongoing

  • Responsible for keeping abreast of emergent technologies and strategies, and identifying threats and opportunities for improvement

  • Budget management of all digital marketing activities in collaboration with the Brand and Campaign Manager

  • Work closely with Internal Communication and Design teams to achieve successful outcomes

Key Performance Indicators:

  • MEGT websites maintained from a marketing perspective (including branding, content, optimisation etc.) within a timely manner

  • Timely and accurate reporting of website performance and digital marketing campaigns

  • Ensuring integrity of all MEGT data lists within marketing automation platform

  • Level of web traffic and engagement

  • Level of engagement through digital marketing channels

  • Ongoing review and responsiveness to market changes, both internal and external, and their impact on MEGT’s digital marketing activity

  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders

  • Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development by taking advantage of training opportunities presented, and interest in self-directed learning to stay abreast of changes within a dynamic digital marketing space.

  • Participate in the Performance Appraisal and Development Process and ensure that all development tasks are completed at the time of year-end performance appraisals unless otherwise agreed.

All staff are required to take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of other personnel who may be affected by their conduct.


 

Police Check:

This position is required to undertake a National Police Check and any State/Territory Working with Children Check (where applicable). The National Police Check must be renewed every 2 years from the date of the initial check as a minimum.
