MEGT is absolutely delighted that our own Ingrid Hughes has won this prestigious Award for 2010.
Ingrid, pictured with Senator Evans and the two award nominee runners up Rachel Jones (until recently with MEGT Perth office) and David Friebel (Australian Apprenticeships NT), has worked in industry, managed a local registered training organisation and been part of the MEGT team since July 2006.
Her commitment continues outside work where, for the past two years, Ingrid has been President of the North Coast Vocational Education Promotion and Training Advisory Committee, which conducts regional training awards, careers expos and the promotion of Australian Apprenticeships from Taree to Tweed Heads in New South Wales.
The Minister’s Award for Support Services Excellence category was established by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations to recognise the outstanding achievements of an individual working for an Australian Apprenticeships Centre. This award recognises an individual employed in an Australian Apprenticeships Centre who demonstrates outstanding commitment to Australian Apprenticeships in their daily duties..
