MEGT Recruitment and Management Services is currently seeking a motivated, organised and career driven individual who is focused on securing and completing a Certificate III in Business over a 12 month period. This is a key role within MEGT (Australia) Ltd. The primary focus of this role will be to learn all about Business – focusing on payroll processing and the administrative functions relating to Return to Work and WorkCover.

Objectives of the role:

  • Assist with the preparation and processing of weekly/fortnightly payroll

  • Assist with end of month and end of year payroll processes

  • Provide advice to staff on HR and payroll issues accurately and efficiently

  • Assist with administration functions relating to Return to Work and WorkCover including the approval and payment of claims as well as data entry into Elumina

  • Coordinate staff probations and end of contracts

  • Assist with other payroll and administrative duties within the People & Safety team as required

  • Manage office equipment (such as printer and shredder), stationery (including ordering), mail and filing for the Division

Key selection criteria:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively & cooperatively as a member of a diverse team

  • Good attention to detail with an analytical approach

  • Good organisational and time management skills

  • Ability to deal with sensitive information in a mature and confidential manner

  • Good customer service skills, demonstrating a mature, professional approach with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality

  • Computer literate and experienced with the Microsoft suite

  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to organise and prioritise with excellent time management skills

  • Self motivated with initiative and the capacity to work autonomously when required

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment and be receptive to change

  • Successful Police Check
