ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to support our exciting new centre at St Joseph’s Beechworth. The successful candidate wil have completed a certificate and be willing to obtain a diploma. In return we provide above award wages, hours off the floor each week for administration tasks and other staff incentives.
Hours: Casual hours will vary, approx. 10-20 per hour's week – Be available to work from 7am-9am and/or 3-6pm, Monday to Friday and various shifts during vacation care.
Back-up Staff – Flexible, available to work at other Service locations when needed.
Staffing is hours is depending on bookings.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, plan and implement a quality education program;
Plan and oversee vacation care programs;
Communicate positively and openly with children, parents and staff on an ongoing basis;
Maintain safety for all children;
Create a stimulating, positive and appropriate environment.
Provide physical care, assisting children in daily routines and meal times.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Certificate in Children's Services or in OSHC;
Hold a valid PAID Working with Children Check;
Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis Management and Asthma Management or willing to obtain;
Current Child protection training or willing to obtain;
Professional and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong understanding and working knowledge of the National Regulations, My Time Our Place learning framework for school age children and National Quality Standards (NQS)
Good understanding of NQF, MTOP and developmental areas for children;
Last but not least, a great sense of humour and enjoys playing with children.
