Will you be looking for an Apprenticeship or Traineeship?
This is a Melbourne service. MEGT Education Group, Hales Institute and the Youth Initiative Program (YIP) have provided thousands of referrals to local employers for students who are exiting or have exited school (up to the age of 19), and who wish to become apprentices and trainees. In addition, the Youth Initiative Program provides Responsible Service of Alcohol Training.
How to register
Talk to your careers teacher. Your careers teacher may already receive the Youth Initiatives Program newsletter once a term which includes a registration form.
Simply complete the registration form and fax it to 03 9791 4460. Then one of our staff will contact you about the program and how we can help you.
If your careers teacher does not receive the newsletter or you are no longer at school please contact the Youth Initiative Program staff directly on 03 9791 9529 during business hours (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm).

Responsible Service of Alcohol
Students gain the knowledge and awareness necessary to responsibly serve alcohol responsibly in licensed premises.
Topics covered include:
- facts about alcohol, its effects and the problems associated with excessive alcohol
- alcohol and the law
- providing service to customers
- handling difficult customers.
This popular accredited training program from your school or alternatively from our city, Dandenong and Ringwood offices over the school holidays.
