Training and employment
MEGT’s Youth Initiative Program provides quality and innovative training to secondary students. Our programs will assist you in the delivery of core curriculum subjects such as Work Related Skills in VCAL, Industry and Enterprise and Work Education for middle and senior school students.
These programs link to the Australian Blueprint for Career Development in both Area B: Learning and Work Exploration and Area C: Career Building at Phases I and II in areas such as Participate in life-long learning supportive of career goals and Secure/create and maintain work.
Our school employment preparation programs, Winning the Job and Pre-Employment Consultation Program have been designed in consultation with local schools and employers to better prepare students in job application processes.
Both programs provide students with skills necessary to create cover letters, resumes and prepare for interviews. The Pre-Employment program is ideal for middle school students and Winning the Job Module is ideal for senior schools.
Additional Programs include:
- ‘Safe@Work General Module’ delivered by staff with certified Occupational Health and Safety training.
- The ‘Responsible Service of Alcohol’ program is ideal for senior secondary students seeking work in licensed venues.
