David Windridge
Director/Chief Executive Officer
David oversees the management of MEGT (Australia) Ltd and is on the Board of Directors. He has an extensive background in the provision of education services and organisational management and a commitment to the delivery of world's best practice services.

As CEO and Director, David oversees the operational and strategic management of this multi-faceted company, comprising 900 staff and 68 offices. His vision is to develop MEGT into Australia's leading provider of employment and training services.
 


Jan Griffin
General Manager, Australian Apprenticeships Centre
Jan Griffin is the General Manager of MEGT's Australian Apprenticeships Centre. Since May 1998 Jan has been successful in building MEGT to one of the largest Australia-wide providers of Australian Apprenticeships Support Services.

Her dedicated and professional team aims to provide the highest quality service to employers, Australian Apprentices and other stakeholders which is reflected in the excellent results gained from the satisfaction surveys conducted by the Australian Government.
 


Sue Kent
General Manager, Education Department
Sue manages the four different arms of MEGT's Education Department:
  • MEGT Institute's workplace and classroom based vocational training
  • the Hales Institute campus in Melbourne providing vocational training
  • Ability English in Sydney and Melbourne, delivering English language education
  •  the Job Ready Program for Trades Recognition Australia.

 



Colin McCabe
Group Training
Colin manages the employment, mentoring and apprenticeships management arm of MEGT as a Group Training Provider. This Department employs over 1,000 apprentices and trainees across 33 different industries and places them with host employers around Australia.


Ashley Langdon
General Manager, MEGT (UK) Ltd
Ashley heads up MEGT's work in the East Midlands region of the United Kingdom. MEGT UK specialises in providing assistance to employers of apprentices and Advanced Apprentices.


John Sheahan
General Manager - Workforce Planning Australia
John Sheahan leads Workforce Planning Australia as Australia’s only Registered Training Organisation offering specialised tools, services and training in workforce planning and workforce development strategies.
 
Workforce Planning Australia is recognised as a market leader in Australia and internationally.
 
John and his team will continue to offer quality expertise and advice in this area, building the strengths and awareness of this highly regarded business and industry initiative at a local and international level.


Barry O’Gorman
Chairman, MEGT Board
Appointed Director 2007. Barry O’Gorman has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He was a former General Manager for Unichem Ltd UK, General Manager of FH Faulding Ltd and an Executive Director of Baxter Healthcare.

He is a member of the AICD, holds a Master of Business (MBA) from Monash University, Master of Business Law (MBL) and is a Non Executive Director of EGO Pharmaceuticals.
 


Lesley Martin
Director, MEGT Board
MAICD, AAII, Dip RM, QPIB


Lesley Martin is currently the Managing Director of Kenyon Risk Consulting Pty Ltd with over thirty years experience in the insurance industry as an underwriter, broker and business owner.
Over the years she has had experience looking after the Risk Management and insurance programs for a number of ASX listed companies and has headed a team of brokers placing business for a variety of associations including the Recruitment Consultants Society of Australia and ITCRA (IT Contractors Recruitment Association).
Her professional qualifications include a Diploma of Risk Management through the ANZIIF, of which she is a Senior Associate. She is also a Qualified Practising Insurance Broker through NIBA and served on their Board for a number of years. She is also a Member of the AICD.
Lesley is a member of the Rotary Club of Brunswick, a former President and is a Paul Harris Fellow
 


John Nathan
Director, MEGT Board
John Nathan has been a member of the MEGT board since 1996 and was appointed Chair in October 2007 for the 2007/08 year.

John enjoyed a successful career in the Victorian public sector, with positions as President of the Victorian Industrial Training Commission and other senior positions in the Office of the State Training Board. During the past decade John has consulted within Australia and undertaken several long term international postings working in the Vocational Education and Training field.

His most recent posting was to South Africa where he advised the Department of Labour regarding the introduction on a form of Group Training.
 
John has a Diploma of Public Administration.
 


Kirsten Mander
Director, MEGT Board
LLM, FAICD, ACIS, MRMIA
Appointed to the Board in 2008. Chairman of the MEGT Strategy Committee.
Kirsten is a senior businesswoman and lawyer. She brings to the board over 20 years experience in the energy, resources, manufacturing and health sectors, including as General Counsel/Group Executive - Governance for some of Australia’s top companies, including Australian Unity Ltd, TRUenergy and Smorgon Steel Group Ltd. She has worked extensively overseas with WMC Resources Ltd.
Kirsten is Chairman of the Victorian Reproductive Treatment Authority, a Director of the Consultative Council on Human Research Ethics, past Victorian President of the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association and a former council member of the Law Institute of Victoria. Kirsten holds a Masters of Law from Melbourne University.
 
 


Alan Sargeant
Director, MEGT Board
Vice President - Regal Beloit South East Asia Pacific and Director for MEGT since 1993 and Chairman from 1998 to 2007.

Alan Sargeant has managed medium sized business units as well as responsibility for a portfolio of companies comprising manufacturers and distributors of industrial, commercial, automotive and mining products operating in local and overseas markets.

He has experience in manufacturing, sourcing and selling high quality purpose-designed technical products to Australian and international markets.

Alan holds qualifications in Mechanical Engineering from Swinburne University and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Melbourne University.

He is also experienced in corporate acquisition, divestment and partnerships; a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has extensive experience in training services to the youth and unemployed of Australia.
 


Beverley Butler
Director, MEGT Board
Beverley brings to the Board management experience in both the local government and retail environments, including small business ownership and operation.

Experience has been gained at a senior level, specialising in human resources and employee relations.

Bev holds a Graduate Diploma in Educational Administration and a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and is part way through her Masters in HRM.
 


Phillip Allen
Director, MEGT Board
Dip Com, Graduate Diploma Management RMIT

As a previous General Manager Phillip brings to the Board more than 30 years’ manufacturing experience in the metal and plastic industries.

He was a Director of South East Development (Melbourne) Area Consultative Committee which is part of a national network of Area Consultative Committees that partner with business, the community and government in fostering sustainable regional development and employment.

Phillip is a member of the Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee and the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
 


Bob Robertson
Director, MEGT Board
Professor Emeritus

Bob was appointed to the Board of MEGT in 2005. He holds a PhD from UTS in Sydney where he served as Vice-President for four years and earlier as Dean of the Faculty of Business.
He has held senior management positions with the Commonwealth and NSW Governments and is currently a Director on the Boards of several companies, including Imaginvest P/L, Education Australia (International Enterprises) P/L and RRM Consultants P/L.
He is an advisor to the Finance and Securities Institute of Australia, the Advertising Federation of Australia and GHD Engineering.
